My Favorite Vidcon 2013 Moment

That moment happened over and over again when I got to look onebody in the eyes and smile.  Sometimes they were somebodies (Hank and John* and Emily and Vi and Abe Earl & Parents, and Julia and Elmify’s Mom (well, okay, Elmify too)).   Sometimes they were oldbodies (Jess and Mike and Brent and JoJo and Tiff and Orlando and Julie and Bobby and Mia and Monica and Rosie and and Carver and Jennie and Rebecca and Adam and Steve and Julie and Martha and Katherine and Adam and Todd).  But mostly they were new bodies (Ute and Katharine and Calvin and Tim and Stuart and Anis and Malin and Felix and Tony and Carlos and Harry and Ashley and Daniel and Brooke and Sara and  and Chrisia and T-T-Tay-Tay and Chellie and Barry and Lizz and Saladsister3) and those who I can’t find on Facebook and whose smiles are all I remember (my Orabrush Box Blood Sister** and her bud come to mind and several others who just lit up my day).

While signings and seminars and screaming fanpeeps swirled around in the background it will always be the IRL smiles which make Vidcon and volunteering special.  It was one long favorite moment.

In other news, after a sold-out*** performance (see photo above) as Romeo in Willy S’s classic Romeo and Juliet on the Expo Stage, I think I am ready for the big screen.  Tall, blue-eyed, I know someone named Lidewij and I have a hard crunchy exterior with sweet gooey insides.

I am Peter Van Houten****.

* I miss John’s hug.

**Of the dozens of baggers and tens of thousands of potential paper cutting items, we both managed to get sliced and diced by the same Ora Brush box.

***Sold-out means there were no tickets left, right?  Photo by Ute Orgassa, Juliet by Tim, Nurse and Yonder Blessed Moon by Katharine.
